# Installing the word add-in

## This article will walk you through the steps to installing the LexSelect add-in in Microsoft Word

*There are several ways to install the Word add-in:*

1. [**Start from Microsoft Word application.**](https://support.lexselect.io/en/help/installing-word-add-in#Word_app)
2. [**Find the add-in at Microsoft App Source.**](https://support.lexselect.io/en/help/installing-word-add-in#App_source)
3. [**Start from the LexSelect web app.**](https://support.lexselect.io/en/help/installing-word-add-in#Web_app)

### 1. Start from Microsoft Word application.

Or follow the steps below:

1. Open a Word document.
2. Go to the **Home** tab and click on the **Add-ins** button.
3. In the search bar, type **‘LexSelect’** and click the **Add** button.
4. Log in or sign up to your LexSelect account.
5. Start uploading and analyzing your documents!

### 2. Find the add-in at Microsoft App Source.

If the add-in **search bar** isn’t visible in Word, you can find LexSelect directly in Microsoft App Source:

1. Open a Word document.
2. Go to the **Home** tab and click on the **Add-ins** button.
3. Click on **‘Find more add-ins at [Microsoft App Source](https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA200003779)’**.

4. In the search bar, type **‘LexSelect’**.

5. Follow steps **4-9** from the [**Start from the LexSelect web app**](https://support.lexselect.io/en/help/installing-word-add-in#get-it-now).

### 3. Start from the LexSelect web app.

1. Log in to the [LexSelect App](https://app.lexselect.io/).
2. On the app home page, click the [‘Microsoft AppSource’](https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA200003779) button in the 'Get LexSelect for Microsoft Word' banner.

3. You’ll be redirected to the LexSelect profile in the Microsoft AppSource store.
4. Click **‘Get it now’**.

5. Confirm your details and log in to your Microsoft account if prompted.
6. On the launch page, click **‘Open in Word’**.

7. Go to the **Home** tab in Word.
8. Click **the LexSelect icon** to launch the add-in.

9. Start uploading and analyzing your documents!
